Religious Images Collection temporarily relocated

The UST Main Building holds the distinction of being the first earthquake-resistant structure in the country and has been the center of many historic events.
It is also the home of the UST Museum, and although we may be closed for the moment due to public health and safety protocols, that doesn't mean we can't bring the collection to you!
We are pleased to be able to share with the Thomasian community and the rest of the world how we strive to constantly improve our means of safeguarding and preserving our cultural heritage.
The Santo Hall saw an exodus of objects recently, from their display cabinets to the Main Gallery. This temporary move is due to the rewiring project being undertaken by the University in the Main Building, which was inaugurated in 1927 and has been declared a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum.
While our religious images are awaiting their return to their proper locations, the Museum staff are taking this opportunity to clean them and update their documentation records. Although we are facing a new lockdown, your UST Museum continues to ensure that our precious collections will be ready and waiting for all of you to come and see them again, in an improved setting.
